Explore Our New Nonprofit Experience

What’s changed with this new update?

This update is the biggest change to our findCRA nonprofit experience since launching Community Qualifier.  With this update, nonprofits gain access to a whole new way of using findCRA to demonstrate their CRA benefits to banks – and now, all of our nonprofit online services are free!

  • Our online process for claiming your nonprofit profile has been completely redesigned with a new guided walk-through that allows a nonprofit account owner to add even more data about their organization’s program and services, mission, targeted clients, geographies served and more.
  • We’ve replaced our paid CRA Certification with a new free online option that allows your nonprofit to become 100% CRA verified without ever leaving our website.  When you log in to your user dashboard, you’ll see a new CRA Verified percentage gauge.  After you complete all of the required fields on your findCRA Nonprofit Profile, your organization will become 100% CRA verified in real-time.
  • When your nonprofit becomes 100% CRA Verified, you immediately gain access to our CRA Tools library on your user dashboard with helpful research guides, marketing materials, and training to support your CRA outreach efforts to banks.
  • You can now invite co-workers to join your findCRA nonprofit account right from the “My Team” section on our newly designed user dashboard.  You can approve or deny users requests and see your complete invitation history starting with this release.
  • Banks can now invite nonprofits to claim their findCRA Nonprofit Profile if they haven’t already.

Do I need to register or claim my nonprofit again?

No.  If you’ve already registered as a nonprofit user on findCRA, you don’t need to register again.

Also, we’ve evaluated all of our previously claimed and CRA Certified nonprofits and have maintained the data you provided in the past.  All you need to do is log in and visit your user dashboard to see which additional fields you need to complete to become 100% CRA verified for free!

How much does it cost to claim my nonprofit or become CRA Verified?

Zip. Zilch. Zero.  That’s right, with this new update, all of findCRA’s online services for nonprofits are 100% free!  That includes creating your user account, claiming your Nonprofit Profile, and becoming 100% CRA Verified.

How do I become 100% CRA Verified?

Your nonprofit can become 100% CRA Verified on findCRA by completing all the required fields on your Nonprofit Profile. On your user dashboard and on your findCRA Nonprofit Profile, you’ll notice a new gauge at the top that indicates your nonprofit’s progress towards becoming 100% CRA Verified.

To become 100% CRA Verified, your nonprofit’s account owner must complete all required data fields on your Nonprofit Profile, including adding at least one program your organization offer.  Once you complete all required data fields, the CRA Verified gauge will update to 100% to let you know you’ve achieved CRA Verified status for your organization.  You’ll also receive an email from us letting you know you’ve reached this milestone.

Only the account owner on your nonprofit account can update the information on your Nonprofit Profile to become CRA Verified.  You can see who your account owner is on the “My Team” tab on the user dashboard.

My nonprofit was CRA Certified before, what happens now?

With this new update, we’ve sunsetted our paid CRA Certification process. What that means is that if you had a CRA Certification application in process, you don’t need to complete it.

If you had previously successfully been granted CRA Certified status by findCRA, your Nonprofit Profile will automatically be considered claimed. Any information you provided during the CRA Certification process that appeared on your Nonprofit Profile before will still be there.

You’ll need to log in to your user account and review the information on your Nonprofit Profile to determine if any data needs to be updated.  Also, you’ll want to complete any missing required information to achieve 100% CRA Verified status.  This will unlock a new set of CRA Tools and upgrade your organization from a claimed nonprofit to a verified nonprofit.

What happens to the CRA Tools I received with my CRA Certification?

Beginning in early 2021, findCRA paused accepting new CRA Certification applications and CRA Certification renewal requests.  During that time, all current CRA Certifications expired and were not renewed.

If your nonprofit had previously been granted CRA Certified status, we created custom CRA Tools for you which were accesible through your user dashboard.  These prior CRA Tools will remain accessible for review and download on your user dashboard for the coming months through the expiration date noted on the dashboard.

After that date, your CRA Tools will no longer be available online.  However, you can gain access to our new CRA Tools library by completing the information on your Nonprofit Profile to become 100% CRA Verified for free.

Do I have to pay my CRA Certification fee?

Beginning in early 2021, findCRA paused accepting new CRA Certification applications and CRA Certification renewals.  During that time, all current CRA Certifications expired and were not renewed.  We have also not invoiced any nonprofits for any renewal payments that expired.

Going forward, all findCRA online services for nonprofits are completely free, so not payments are required.

Are there any new CRA Tools?

With this release, we’ve launched a new CRA Tools library for nonprofits that have reached 100% CRA Verified status.  This new CRA Tools library includes helpful guides, marketing materials, and training that each approved user under a nonprofit’s account can access at any time as long as your nonprofit is 100% CRA Verified.  CRA Tools are now free for all 100% CRA Verified nonprofits.

What happens to my Community Need Listings?

With this release, we have started the process of sunsetting our Community Needs Listing feature.  We have removed the ability for you to create new Community Needs Listings or search existing Community Needs Listings on the website.

You can still see any active Community Needs Listings on your user dashboard.  In the short-term, banks can still access Community Needs Listings from their main menu and could reach out to you about an active Community Needs Listing they may be interested in supporting.

We will notify you at a future date when Community Needs Listings are removed completely from the website.

How do I manage existing users and invite new users to my nonprofit?

On the user dashboard, we have renamed the “Users” tab to the “My Teams” tab.  From there, you can now see who the current account owner is for your nonprofit as well as all approved, declined and pending users.

If you’re the account owner for your organization, you have the ability to approve or deny any pending users right from the My Teams tab.  You also can also invite additional contacts at your organization to register on findCRA and become a part of your nonprofit account using a new invitation feature on the “My Team” tab.  You’ll also see a complete invitation history of any invitations sent on or after November 23, 2021.

How do I update the data on my Nonprofit Profile?

With our new release, the account owner now has the ability to update several pieces of information on your organization’s Nonprofit Profile directly on the website in real-time.  When you log in to your user dashboard, you’ll see a new option to edit your Nonprofit Profile.  As the account owner, you can click that button or click any edit icon on the Nonprofit Profile to gain access to a new edit modal that allows you to update organzational data including your contact information, mission statement, programs, targeted clients, geographies served and more.  As you update required data on your Nonprofit Profile, you’ll be shown your progress to becoming 100% CRA Verified in real-time.

If you have additional data points on your Nonprofit Profile that need to be updated outside of those you can update directly, you can contact findCRA directly to request changes.
