Greg Thomas is President and Chief Investment Officer of Community Development Fund Advisors, adviser to The Community Development Fund, a CRA-qualified community development investment strategy utilized exclusively by bank investors nationwide. Since joining the firm, Greg has helped oversee the deployment of more than $500 million into affordable housing and community development initiatives through a high-impact investment framework designed to support both CRA performance and institutional investment objectives.

Prior to Community Development Fund Advisors, Greg spent more than two decades in institutional investment management. He held investment roles at Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan, was one of seven investment partners at 3G Capital, a $40 billion global investment firm involved in landmark transactions alongside Berkshire Hathaway and Warren Buffett, and later founded and managed a fundamental long/short equity hedge fund that was seeded with $1.1 billion by Blackstone.

Greg is a frequent speaker on CRA investment strategies, regulatory developments, and emerging CRA policy issues. He advises chief financial officers, treasurers, and CRA officers on CRA investment strategy, portfolio construction, and regulatory considerations. He has been featured in American Banker discussing trends in CRA investing and graduated summa cum laude from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
